MOSCOW, 27.06.04. Some tens thousand believers have taken part in Moscow in Religious procession in honour of wires of wonder-working Tikhvin icon God Mother from Moscow to Petersburg. Religious procession from the Temple of the Christ of the Savior where has taken place before wonder-working image, has headed the Patriarch Moscow and all Russia Alex Vtoroj. All clergy of Moscow, and also representatives of dioceses of Russian orthodox church has taken part in it and others local orthodox churches. The procession has passed from the Temple of the Christ of the Savior on the Kremlin quay to the Red square. The quay has been densely filled with believers who went even on a lawn along the Kremlin walls. Believers have filled also in all Red square where one more has taken place , devoted to wires of the Wonder-working image of an icon of the Virgin which has returned to Russia on June, 23, later 63 years of stay outside the country. In January of this year during negotiations of Patriarch Alex II with delegation of Orthodox Church in America the final agreement on returning Tikhvin icon to Russia has been achieved.
